TV Guide Channel
Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone out there has their program information on the TV Guide Channel. I recieved an e-mail from Tightrope regarding the TV Guide button and compatibility with their new update: "When you schedule a channel with Tightrope's scheduling software, the schedule is published in HTML to your web site, it is published to your Carousel Bulletin Board, and it is also now published to TV Guides X-List so that you can just send a finished file to TV Guide and the cable company."
I would love to be able to do this. Does anyone currently do this? Can someone please explain the process to me perhaps? Thanks.

Inappropriate?If you sign up for an X-List account with TV Guide, you can send a specially formated file to TV Guide that lists out your programming schedule.
X-List export capability will be in the upcoming Cablecast 4.6 release. I'm about to send out what will hopefully be the last beta release to our beta testers, and as soon as they give the thumbs up, we'll ship the final release.

Inappropriate?X-list is frozen right now for adding new users. [:(!][:(!] They are updating hardware to expand bandwidth.[:p] Also, the XML exported file does not follow proper format that x-list accepts. I will be talking with the tech guys next week on fixing it.[:)]

This is actually the first bit of feedback that I've gotten that Cablecast's export doesn't work. If you have any contacts there at TV Guide that can send me a sample "working" XML file soon, I'll do my best to get Cablecast fixed up as quickly as I can.

Also, has anyone out there been able to successfully create a valid X List XML file (using Cablecast or otherwise)? I can't seem to get much information from the people at TV Guide. A sample file (not the documented spec, a real sample) would be really handy.
As of now, it's looking like we might have to pull the feature from 4.6 because I haven't been able to make a file that validates with their system.
