Uploaded video won't play.
I've tried uploading a short video (under 1 minute) and I've tried several different files types, but nothing works. When the video should play, the screen goes black for a moment, but continues on to the next page.

Inappropriate? What kind of file is it that you are playing? What CODEC?
-
Inappropriate? For my first attempt, I used the mpeg file that we rip the Cablecast files as. Then I converted it to a WMV file and my final attempt was trying it as a quicktime file (.mov).
I'm not sure what the codec is. How do I check that? -
Inappropriate? How big is the file? It it possible to email it to us and we can give it a try?
The wmv version is probably your best bet in terms of formats. I'm surprised that it didn't work.
Another thing to check, try giving it a play in Windows Media Player on the Carousel player (the computer that has the DisplayEngine running on it). If it doesn't play there, then it might be a codec incompatibility.

Inappropriate? Our video servers playback MPEG2 Program Stream video/audio

Inappropriate?I did eventually get video to work. I think I used H.264 codec, with the extension either as .MP4 or .MOV. The movies play perfectly. It just took some patience on my part. (I seem to recall the .MOV format seemed to work the best.)
I’m pleased.
