Video Playback
I've looked through the forums, and followed the training video (MP4) but I still can't get videos to play on Carousel. I upload the video and the slide will go black for 2 seconds and then just transfer to the next slide. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Inappropriate?Does your video play in Windows Media Player on the carousel machine?
That is the first check.
If it doesn't play in Windows Media Player, try a different format till it does.
Good luck.

Inappropriate? Is it by any chance happening on a Solo210 or Player210?
Definitely try playing the file on the Carousel Player using Windows Media. Confirm that you are using a codec that it supports (WMV9, MPEG2, etc.). If it doesn't play, you may need to re-install the graphics driver.
I will give you more details based on your results. -
Inappropriate?it's a 220.. and how would I re-install the graphics driver?

Inappropriate?Have you confirmed that the file doesn't play in windows media on the Carousel Player? Do you know what codec the file is using?

Inappropriate?they are not playing int windows media, it says there's an error downloading the codecs and I can't find anything about it on the microsoft website

Inappropriate?I ultimately ended up uploading quicktime to the Carousel's computer and it now plays mp4's fine, thanks for all your help though

Inappropriate? This is to resolve a very specific issue when Windows Media videos, using the WMV9 Advanced codec, do not play on the Solo/Player 210, even in Windows Media Player.
Solution: Re-install the graphic driver.
Note: Install on Solo/Player 210 only.
To download the latest graphics card drivers: go to http://aopen.com
Click on Downloads and then Advanced Search.
Type keyword "DE-945CD" and select Driver from the Category field. Click Search.
Scroll down and download the Graphic Driver for WinXP.

Unzip the file and run the Setup.exe.

Follow the onscreen instructions. Reboot machine.
Test the windows media file.
