Win32/Parite worm on Video Server - and it's spreading through the network!
What do you suggest for an antivirus software - I was going to install sophus on the Video server, since other machines are saying it has the Win32/Parite worm.

Inappropriate?Hi SCTV17,
We don't have an officially recommended anti virus program... We'd generally recommend you use whatever your network administrator would prefer/suggest.
If you are your network admin... :) We have customers who have reported success with Norton AntiVirus, as mentioned in this topic: http://gsfn.us/t/1sc2
There's some good advice about adding large video files to the "exempt" list, as it can take a lot of processing power to scan through 10gb files, which might affect playback on video servers.
I hope this helps,
-John

Inappropriate?Norton AntiVirus has worked well for us also, except... the standard version of Norton will work with Windows XP machines, but NOT with Windows Server 2003, which we have loaded on our Cablecast Pro server and VOD server. Norton's installer simply shuts down and says it's not the appropriate product for this operating system.
What product has anyone had success with on these machines?
