Make an RSS feed available for the Dashboard
I got a reply from David (Karp) for a comment I left on the main Tumblr v4 regarding this, and he says RSS is coming in v4. I just thought I'd put the discussion here to see how many others share my interest.
As a side note I really think the lack of RSS really is why I miss so many posts. I really can't keep the dashboard open at all times, mainly because paging is simply a flawed design and I'm pretty sure Feed readers are how most tech people read their, well, feeds.

Inappropriate?ditto here: good idea. if i have you right, this would export your dashboard to a reader (rock'n the netvibes) through rss? hope they get it right. i also want to export modules from netvibes as RSS and pipe them to my tumblr

Inappropriate?An RSS feed would get very heavy very quickly, however an API to access your dashboard would be very handy. I can imagine all kinds of awesome apps?

actually, if you look into Streem.us it handles RSS in non-RSS streems that could prove helpful for such an API -

Inappropriate?do you mean posterous has a dashboard of ppl you are following, similarly updated as the Tumblr dashboard and in RSS format that you can export to Google Reader? i dont want to fan a flame b/w tblr & post (i havent tried out posty yet), but from other accounts its not as immersive a timeline as tblr.
i think i may start using post (i find ping to be an overly complicated service for what i want) as a backend for posting to my tumblr, but i still want to have the tblr dashboard in terms of the subscribed tumblrs of ppl i follow and being able to jump in via RSS to interact with a given post (and get them a clickthru). does that clear up what i mean?
also, is it even POSSIBLE to skin (ie like helvtireader) tmblr specific buttons into Google Reader? thatd be so RAD.
