Tumblr should let you embed videos of an arbitrarily large size
Please consider adding a plain {Video} tag to the templating language. There is zero cost to Tumblr to support videos of arbitrarily large size as Tumblr is not hosting them. Many sites now offer videos at larger sizes and as a theme developer I should be able to constrain the video size with CSS if I am so inclined, but would like to otherwise not have half of my embedded videos cut down in size.

Inappropriate?i back hacked this by posting video as text. tumblr takes the embed code, scraps it, gives the vid its own size attributes. i then went in and changed the height width in the code again (you can tell bc the height is listed first which is not stanarard) saved and that worked.
total kluge for something that should be as easy as {video} :(

Inappropriate?That actually worked. I tried it. Just be sure to use a theme that doesn't have the media type prominently displayed, so it doesn't say "TEXT" really huge right next to your video.

Inappropriate?The width options should be user configurable. It would be sweet to be able to define a media width like you can do with WordPress.
