URL shortening: tumb.lr?
I have seen short URLs that include http://tumb.lr/ but I can't find anything on using them. Is that still around or was/is it an outside hack? Was it replaced by the http://tumblr.com/xxxxxxxxx links?
I'd love to be able to use something like that rather than bit.ly or even my preferred tr.im for tumblr links. At the very least, is there a way we can grab http://tumblr.com/xxxxxxxxx URLs when not auto-tweeting?

http://tumblr.com/xxxxxxxxx links are only for auto-tweets at this time. But, I will pass your suggestion on to the team.

I was afraid of that...I've confirmed sightings by a couple of other people too, but we're unable to get our mitts on an example now. Perhaps it's something you guys can look into (like flic.kr) but also make it available to users to copy out. [I'm thinking of an additional field near custom URL on the post/edit page, and/or a "get short URL for this post" option somewhere with the content links on a post.]
