Why are imported feeds being truncated?
I realize that the content in imported fees has always been truncated, but I notice it happening to my items more frequently now because of the expanded limit at delicious (1000 character descriptions).
What is the reason for truncating imported feeds? Is there any chance the limit will be increased in the future?
Or would the only way to get the entire description field from delicious entries to appear in my Tumblr posts be to write a custom importer which scrapes my Delicious feed and posts the full description to Tumblr via the Tumblr API?

Inappropriate?Hello! Search engines are thought to penalize sites that contain duplicate content by giving lower search rankings to both sites. Because of this, we truncate imported posts to try and keep that from happening, at least with the lengthier posts. We have no plans to remove truncation at this time.
You can pursue an API solution if you wish, but you may run into the search ranking penalty described above.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for using Tumblr!

You guys could at least provide an option for those who are not concerned about search engine rankings and want their content faithfully reproduced.
