I'm attempting to export photos from my site to tumblr using your API. I'm getting this message "You've exceeded your daily photo upload limit"
Can you tell me what the limit is?

Inappropriate?after doing some testing it looks like the limit is around 80?
Is there any way to get around that? Sure makes migrating to Tumblr difficult, especially since there is no formal Tumblr import tool.
I would really like to use Tumblr but migrating 1000 photos 80 at a time would take me 12 days. That's sort of silly isn't it?

Inappropriate?Hello! The API isn't actually designed for that sort of mass post migration and there is not a way to get around the photo posting limit.
We do not have a feature for importing archives from other platforms and have no immediate plans to due to compatibility and conversion issues.

surely it wouldn't be so hard to support the standard xml output from WP or something? It's stopping me and a lot of friends wanting to move our blogs over. It's silly that tumblr has all these other crazy features, but no import function at all :/ -

Inappropriate?We don't publish a set limit number and it can vary based on how our system perceives your posting activity. It is based on a 24-hour period starting at midnight Eastern Standard Time.

Inappropriate?That's very unfortunate. The fact that you're looking at only the number of photos posted and not the file size is unfortunate. I would like to migrate my blog to tumblr, and i have many smaller sized mobile photos I want to post. But your system prevents me from doing this.
Posterous has no limit, which makes it much easier to migrate my blog to them. Can you guys reconsider, or help with me in any way here?
I'm not trying to abuse the system, I'm simply trying to get my old content into tumblr.

Inappropriate?Posterous blows Tumblr out of the water in oh so many ways.
Much easier to get stuff INTO posterous, can import sites from a wide number of other blogs/ sites, and the built-in commenting system and cross-posting to Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, (and Tumblr!) blow me away.
If Tumblr doesn't get off their collective asses I think you're going to find a mass exodus.

Inappropriate?I certainly wish Tumblr reconsider its limits policy. Or at least increase the photo upload limit per day. Is there any other limits imposed on your users we should be aware of?
