Top 4 questions users need answered IMMEDIATELY
There are some vital questions not being answered here.
1. Why no TOS?
2. Why no privacy page? What do you intend to do with the info you collect? Not disclosing your intentions clearly in a privacy page makes you lose credibility. You can not build a business without credibility. There are tools out there to help you create a privacy page for free. Such as http://www.freeprivacypolicy.com/priv... (which I have no affiliation with. I just used them a couple days ago to create a privacy for one of my sites)
3. Why no SSL? Do you really think it is responsible to collect people's personal info and passwords in an insecure environment??
4. I know you are communicating with Twitter to get your account (suspended) back on there. And that's great. But in those convos did you ever question what they will do to your customers? Will people who signed up for your service have their Twitter accounts suspended? Did you even ask Twitter that? Did you ask Twitter to hold off on anything like that until you reach an understanding with them?
And finally a suggestion: While you are talking to Twitter, make a suggestion to them to improve their service. A lot of your complaints are because you collect people's personal twitter info (passwords.) Ebay has a system to connect their users accounts with third party apps. without the third party getting the user's password. They get a "token" instead.
I think the questions I posted above are ones you need to address to your community immediately if you wish to stave off panic and save your name and credibility. I hope you heed this advice and add TOS, privacy and SSL ASAP.
Good luck!

Inappropriate?call me crazy but i think the dude running this shouldve aleady gotten a go head from twitter before starting this TweepMe buisness and luring all his potential victims in with him... i notice this is something even alot of large corporations do, they know how to creat and start up businesses but not how to run them. Blame it on more money than brains or common sense i guess
I’m feeling like saying DUH

Inappropriate?TweepMe blew up overnight, bottom line. We were caught with our pants down, missing a few essential pieces. We are working on TOS and Privacy Policies (late this week) and we DO use SSL for all payments (GoDaddy and RapidSSL certificates).... working on modifying the login for SSL support as well. Truly sorry for the delay.
Thanks for posting this question! -
Inappropriate?the login page needs to be SSL as well, not just CC pages. Login info is private, personal, and you have a responsibility to protect it. If people's info were to get stolen because you failed to protect it, you could be looking at a line of lawsuits.
Also, things like TOS and privacy are pages that should be programmed into a site BEFORE launch. Before you even tell the first person about it. They aren't afterthoughts after nearly 5,000 people sign up. And they certainly aren't something you put off until next week. They are what you should do after you come up with an idea and register the domain name.
Every hour that goes by without these essential steps, the more you ruin your reputation, your credibility and the potential of your site. The more ammo you give to nay sayers, and the more you make them right.
It appears you are having trouble retaining customers who have FREE accounts. How do you expect to retain paying customers if you can't retain free ones? People are leaving because your site is unprofessional, without even the most basic pages, and unconcerned with the safety of your customers. You are making it a punchline.
I hate to be harsh, but all of this is the truth. I know if it were me, I'd be willing to invest a couple hours today writing up the neccessary pages instead of tanking the future of my business and setting myself up for lawsuits. But that's up to you.

Inappropriate?Yes, thank you for the criticism. We pushed our TOS and Privacy Policy last night after this post was created.
Many of our free members left because they were persuaded by the rantings of others that we are a virus.

Inappropriate?I see that all tasks were completed. As I said in other post, if vendors will have to answer to all rants over there, they will have no time to work on site. Points in this post were legitimate concerns and they were fixed.
