Not all Twurls picked up by Tweetburner
I posted http://twurl.nl/l53vfs twice yesterday, first from WordPress plugin, the second from the Web. Neither time worked. (It did work when I tweeted this message to you).
These Twurls got missed too, 7 days ago:
> http://twitter.com/thefluffanutta/sta... (from Twitter Tools)
> http://twitter.com/thefluffanutta/sta... (from Web)
> http://twitter.com/thefluffanutta/sta... (from Web)
Is there a manual way to 'ping' Tweetburner with any Twurls it might have missed? Perhaps by sending a link to the original tweet. That would help.
Alternatively, maybe you could use Summize as a backup method to catch twurls, for example: http://summize.com/search?q=http+twur...

Inappropriate?Hi. Thank your for the bugreport! Due to the problems with Twitter, we are unfortuneately unable to track all Twurls right now.
However your suggestion of using Summize for tracking stats updates is actually great! This way we can surely improve the quality of service with Twurl tracking. Many thanks!
I'll start working on it right away.
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate? Thanks for implementing Summize API - that's great news, and very quick too. (I hope you were able to use the 'since_id' parameter as well, that should save you some processing and bandwidth).
Can you add a button to the user stats page, that will manually ping their twitter account, perhaps by using Summize again? (i.e. search for from:username twurl.nl) This would be a fall back just in case anyone has a tweet that got missed by Tweetburner.
I’m excited

this solves the problem

Inappropriate?Hi! We're also looking into "pinging" Tweetburner through the API or just at regular intervals for each user. Will keep you updated about that :)
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?TweetBurner missed a Twurl I posted yesterday from www.TwitReponse.com (i.e. a scheduled tweet).
Inappropriate?Ok. Thank you for noticing. We have made some improvements in the Summize integration and everything should be fine now.
-
Inappropriate?I'm afraid it's still not quite right. I posted the same Twurl again from another account, and it still hasn't been picked up: http://twitter.com/squidcasts/statuse...
Perhaps the @ or the # is breaking your parsing? The feed from Summize will have 3 <a href> tags for this particular item's description. -
Inappropriate?Hm that's odd indeed. It might be that our Summize script didn't pick it up correctly. We're going to look into it.
-
Inappropriate?I have the same problem here, a twurl I created and posted via twhirl does not show up in my stats though I can find it with sumize: http://twurl.nl/qw2fqv
-
Inappropriate? To add further to this: Today I created and posted via the tweetburner website and all wet wrong. Looks like the problem has to do with the API.
-
Inappropriate?I posted this twurl about 45 minutes ago - still not picked up on Tweetburner. My twitter account is kvoelker. Here's the tweet:
retweeting @cwolz #ocu2008 @BritneyMason with streaming video of the Online Community Unconference http://twurl.nl/uta8ne
-
Inappropriate? We're still investigating on why Summize and our own script are still not picking up all of the Twurls posted through Twitter. As you might know, due to the issues with Twitter itself, we can't use all functionality to search for all tweets.
We'll keep you updated through the blog, the homepage and the GetSatisfaction page!
I’m thoughtful

Inappropriate?Just wanted to let you know that I'm having the same problem. Here are two items that don't show up in my stats:

My stats are here:

Thanks!

Inappropriate?Hi Brooks,
Thank you for the report. As described above, we're still experiencing problems on twurl discovery on Twitter. The number of clicks on your Twurls are counted. The discovery on Twitter allows us to know who is the owner of a Twurl. At the moment it doesn't work from time to time correctly, so we cannot add them to your account.
As a temporary workaround you can use the Greasemonky script created by @thefluffanutta it's capable of showing the number of Twurls generated via your twurl. Install the script and you will be able to see the amount of clicks directly in your Twitter timeline.
More information can be found on our blog: http://tweetburner.com/blog/2008/06/2... -
Inappropriate?fyi, I'm having the same problem. I've done several twurl posts today and none have come through. All bar one has found its way to Summize.
Btw, that Greasemonkey script is great.
-
Inappropriate?Hi Gianouts,
We'll take a look into it today, and post about the problem here and/or at our blog. Thanks for the report!

Inappropriate?Hi Tweetburner -
I added the Greasemonkey script and it's handy in that it will show me how many clicks a link has gotten, but I can't see any of the stats. For example:
hhttp://twurl.nl/t2w452 - I should be able to see the stats here: http://tweetburner.com/links/t2w452, but I'm getting your "We're sorry, but something went wrong" message. Since Tweetburner isn't grabbing ANY of my Twurls, I was hoping that I could see the stats on my links using the link provided by the Greasemonkey script - but I guess that isn't working either?
What gives? -
Yeah, this happens. Tweetburner will collect stats for links and export them via the API, but can't display the stats on its website it if hasn't picked them up for your profile. Hope they can fix this... -
Inappropriate?Yup, over the last couple of days my twurls not being tracked either, for example:
http://twurl.nl/ychkod
http://twurl.nl/32dd2t
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I have multiple accounts but when I send a twurl, I can see that stats for the twurl regardless of how I generated it.
@sixes thought that he was not able to see the data for twurls that he hadn't logged in to create. I created twurls as akaSylvia and sent one as SatScenes and he sent one as Sixes.
This is the one that Sixes posted - http://tweetburner.com/links/cpwdvp
It shows up on http://tweetburner.com/users/SatScenes but not on http://tweetburner.com/users/Sixes
Any idea why? -
Inappropriate?Hi Sylvia,
Thanks for taking the time to report on this issue.
As far as I can see Sixes hasn't connected his Twitter account to his Tweetburner account. Also there isn't a Twitter account that is named 'Sixes' .Therefore the application doesn't now where to show the link.
Are the links posted through our bookmarklet or frontpage?
To solve the problem Sixes should connect his twitter account to his Tweetburner account. He can do this by logging in on Tweetburner and go to the tab that says 'Settings'. When the Twitter account is added Tweetburner knows which links should be shown in his account.
Als I advice on using the bookmarklet for posting the links.
I hope this helps you in solving the problem.
Kind regards,
Bob

Inappropriate?Another twurl not picked up today in my latest list of twurls:
New blog post: "Keeping up with what's happening in the world". http://twurl.nl/71btys
There are however stats for it at http://tweetburner.com/links/71btys
