Can setup tweetlater with email+filter@gmail.com e-mail addresses?

I use a +news at the end of my e-mail address and tweetlater keeps dropping the + in email+news@gmail.com so it just ends up with emailnews@gmail.com which is wrong and now I can properly setup auto welcome or auto follow.
