Hi, this is a great idea!
All Channels have owners that can invite people if they like or not. Right now we want to provide them with the opportunity to choose this for themselves. That's why you currently only know about channels that people have announced.
Further down the road there will be a few different ways to discover new channels:
* Browsing public profile pages to see which channels your friends have subscribed to.
* Using channel search and directory (we have a cognition science student from Linköping doing usability studies on this right now)
* Navigate using "related channels" in a explorative fashion
* Searching for items globally and then looking at in what channels they are posted
* A Channel list under each item labelled "This item is popular in...."
Further ideas are welcome on this subject!

Inappropriate?"Useful" is quite an understatement, I think. Without a way of finding new channels, I don't see how I can use it at all?
I’m confused

Inappropriate? Also when reading/watching a channel something that would be awesome is a list of related channels. (People that follow this channel also like these.. etc)
Maybe on the front page/user profile you could recommend channels that I would like based on other channels I subscribe to and people I interact with favorite channels. -
