Is their a way to view a full url rather than just link besides click on their name and having it take you to their homepage and going all the way down to wherever the tweet is and looking at the full url because this is a security problem and could lead to viruses and such.
The pictures (image) of some of the tweet authors that I am following have a translucent green color over them. (see example) This just started about a week ago, and certainly doesn't happen for all authors, but does on 3 or 4 of them.
Is there a way to turn this off?
I've put in my user name and password a number of times, and it says"Unfortunately, we couldn't verify you user name or password..."
uhh....yeah....what's wrong with that...I know my user name and password and I've typed it right every time...
So on my topline in in twitbin I have "FRIENDS @ D Hearf (Favorites) PUBLIC MASH". Mash shows me all the tweets from Mashable. Why is that there and how do I get rid of it?
Ever since I started using Twitbin, I've noticed that Firefox will hang very often during the day. To test my theory that it was Twitbin that was hogging resources (or causing the problem for whatever reason), I stopped using it temporarily, and Firefox didn't hang at all during that time. So, what do I mean by "hang"? Basically, the Firefox window will freeze for a few seconds, and then continue on. It's very frustrating. I love the way Twitbin looks and am hoping I don't have to give it up, but if it keeps this up, I may have to.
OK, here's the deal. Every time that Twitbin goes to update (I'm assuming that this is what it's doing ... keep reading), my Firefox freezes for anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 seconds or so. For instance, I have Twitbin's auto-refresh set to three minutes. For 1.5 to 2.5 seconds before Twitbin begins scrolling down the updates, Firefox freezes. It will buffer anything that I'm doing (including typing text or CTRL+scrolling through tabs) until Twitbin "releases" control back to FIrefox and then everything gets updated in a flurry. It's pretty annoying. This also happens if I send a tweet via Twitbin by using the text entry box.
I'm using Firefox latest release build (3.0.7) on Windows XP Pro SP2, on a Dell Latitude D620 Intel Dual-Core Pentium 1.66ghz and 3GB RAM so it's not like my system is causing this. It's getting to be quite annoying, as my web browser tends to freeze up at least every three minutes.
This behaviour does NOT occur when the Twitbin sidebar is NOT open. It only occurs when the Twitbin sidebar is open in my browser...
First at all: I like very much twitbin and the way you are improving it ;)
So this is is a feature suggestion for keep improving :)
I would like to have the option to share or don't share my twitts. I have Twitter and Facebook conected and my contacts in Facebook are quite annoyed for all the no sense replys and one side conversations.
Woul be great to have a box to check or unchek in order to share or not share.
The CTRL + SHIFT + M keystroke that is listed in the View Sidebar menu for Firefox 3.0.8 does not open or close the Twitbin sidebar? How do I get the keyboard shortcut to work?
Is there a way that when I copy/paste a url into twitbin that it automatically shortens it using "any" url shortening service like snipurl (preferred) or tinyurl?
