Inappropriate? When can I expect to see Version 2.1 out?
I’m happy there will be an option to get rid of this!
-
Inappropriate?Seconded! When's the new version out, it's really fustrating having it on every tab too!
I’m happy we can get this taken out!
-
Inappropriate?I use the Firefox add-on "Stylish" along with a custom style to hide the annoying little yellow beast. Works well.
I’m wishing they just gave us the option to kill the yellow burble.
-
Where can I get this style? -
For anyone that needs it, you can find the Stylish add-on for Mozilla here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...
And my little Twitbin "hack" along with some other styles can be found here:

Inappropriate?2.1 won't be out for another month. but don't you guys realize you pay ZERO for this add-on, yet it costs us time and money to develop and host/run for you. so the fact that you see an ad once every 20 tweets isn't that bad.
would you be willing to pay a fee to get rid of it? if so how much? -
Perhaps I'm confused, but the Yellow "Advertise on twitbin!" Burble is ALWAYS visible to me... not just every 20 tweets. An occasional ad is one thing... a constant presence is another, especially if it takes up valuable screen real estate.
I'm for usability and function, a program (free or otherwise) that provides me with a lesser experience just gets uninstalled... -
I'd like to pay about NOTHING to get rid of it, but that's never gonna happen (until v2.1) -
Inappropriate?I must admit I uninstalled Twitbin because of the advertisement and installed TwitterFox, which is just as free as Twinbin, but without any advertisement.
But the fun part is that I ended up following @TwitterFox anyway - but it's ok since I didn't get forced to do it, by a constant yellow Tweet at the top.
I hope you'll think about if it's the right way to earn money, because TwitterFox have almost as many followers as you, and they don't even ask you to.
I’m concerned

I like to have Twitbin in the Sidebar, Twitterfox isn't in the Sidebar (not in the Screenshots) -
well actually the point there isn't to get followers with that ad, it was more to get everyone accustomed to seeing an ad. Following @twitbin is a smart idea if you use twitbin though, as it lets us inform you of important changes going on w/twitbin you otherwise wouldn't see.
I would love to hear your suggestions for monetizing twitbin though. Its expensive developing software like this. -
Brian, I followed Twitbin ages before the "Follow" banner started haunting me everywhere I went. Is it too expensive to develop something that would reflect the fact that I'm already following it? -
Inappropriate?I don't care about the ad, it's small enough. I get use to it and to ignore it :D Maybe with a real one will be different...
I’m happy there are many other twitter apis without ads
-
If by small enough you mean it's probably close to 1/6th of your visible entries then... um, it's not small enough. If I've already followed Twitbin then why should I still see this post EVERY time?
Nope, until it goes away when I accept the "Follow Twitwin?" question, then I won't use it .Too bad too, it would be a great fit for my usage otherwise....
