Inappropriate?Actually all the tweets should be in the correct order, newest at the top.
Same way it has always been.
can you send me a screenshot of your messages? -
Hi, Brian,
First, let me say that the new Twitbin looks wonderful. I have also noticed this, where older stuff is sorted higher than newer stuff; but it's not consistent. For instance, in the attached image, you'll see something I wrote ~4 hours ago sorted higher than ~2-hour-old content which is sorted lower than ~1-hour-old content but higher than 6-minute-old content. That is, it's not consistent in either direction.
That said, still very nifty.

Inappropriate?Daniel,
Thanks for the screenshot. Investigating this now. -
Inappropriate?Thanks Brian - here's my view...

Inappropriate?mine's doing the same thing? is there a way to fix this?
-
Inappropriate?I'm seeing the same thing (random ordering) in Firefox 2.0.0.20
-
Inappropriate?Hi there,
I'm using the same FF version, both on XP and Linux, for what it's worth.
Upgraded to Twitbin 2.0.2, and I can still hit the refresh button and get differently sorted tweets, in orders not corresponding to the age of the tweets.
On a different note, the Twitbin home page points to http://twitbin.getsatisfaction.com, and at least for me this doesn't redirect to http://getsatisfaction.com/twitbin.
Just want to take a moment and say that Twitbin is nice, and the UI improvements kick ass. I'll be curious as to how the advertising works; I hope there's a nice balance between business model and signal/noise in the stream.
Cheers,
Daniel -
Inappropriate?Just curious...this question was asked over 15 days ago and no fix? I just upgraded and the problem is still there...
I’m bummed out.
-
Inappropriate?I just upgraded and this is really irritating. I'd prefer the old version without the bells and whistles if the tweets would just be in the right order.
I’m frustrated
-
Hi there,
You can find older versions in the "See All Versions" link on the Firefox Add-ons entry.
It's worth noting, though, that (correct me if I'm presuming too much) none of us are developers who've released free plugins that make using services like Twitter easier and more enjoyable. We could do worse than to realize that this takes work and that's worth honoring, even if it's less convenient than we might hope for. -
thanks muraii, we do truly appreciate the kind words. all told, this version of twitbin has taken months and months of labor, and that also has cost us a lot of $ too. so we appreciate your appreciation of that fact.
thanks -
Inappropriate?we actually just figured out how to fix this. 2.0.5 is going to be up soon.

this answers the question

Excellent. So far, working very well.
Last recommendation: update Get Satisfaction on twitbin.com from twitbin.getsatisfaction.com to getsatisfaction.com/twitbin.
Thanks to the Twitbin crew. -
Inappropriate?I have version 2.0.6 and TwitBin is listing newest tweets at the bottom as well. Is there a new update to fix this?
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate? At first 2.0.6 appeared in the right order, but now they are reversed. Also the time stamp on all tweets is NaNY.... what's that !!! ?
I’m disappointed
-
Inappropriate?Yep -- running 2.0.6. Woke up this morning to find all the tweets in reverse order with the post time being NaNY ago. Just adding my voice to the crowd!
I’m ehh.
-
I can confirm this. -
Inappropriate?Hi there,
I'm seeing this behavior as well, in 2.0.6. Looks like the Twitter API changed, maybe? -
Inappropriate?I've noticed that this only applies to my and my friends' posts, but not to the public posts.
I’m undecided
-
I can confirm that.
