I'm not past my limit, I'm fine, I can drive home, really....
For the last few days, but not since the beginning of the extra rate limiting, I get an API limit overage error immediately upon trying to login via Twitbin. I checked http://twitter.com/account/rate_limit... and it says 30--the per-hour calls allowed since the extra rate limiting went into effect (right?), so I have "all" my calls available, at least according to what Twitter is returning on that call.
So what do you think gives with Twitbin's error? (I'm assuming it's just passing on Twitter's, and yet, rate_limit_status says differently.)

Inappropriate?I do not think twitbin is just passing on twitter's message here. It appears twitbin is connecting to the twitbin.com server, not the twitter.com server. I don't understand why it's doing that, and I don't like it sending the twitbin developers my twitter.com login info. I would like to hear them explain this.

Inappropriate?I just installed Twitbin and as soon as I entered my username and password, I got the "exceeded limit" error. Does it ever let me see my tweets?
I’m sad

Inappropriate? The API limit applies to your account and not to a specific application so I suspect that another app may be using your API calls up for you before you even get to start twitbin. It may even be something you have not thought of.
All twitter apps can use up your API calls including for example:
- Social network twitter apps, such as FB apps that auto update your status.
- Web based twitter applications or helpers.
- Browser plugin twitter apps.
- Twitter apps on your desktop or in their own window.
- Mobile twitter apps on your mobile phone or PDA
- Twitter feed apps that show your latest tweets on your blog or elsewhere.
Hopefully that will help you track down where your API calls are being used up for you.
I’m hoping this helps
