Is possible to change the textfield to a textarea so I can see more of my tweet than 20-30 characters?

Inappropriate?I can see 38 characters with my sidebar at 400 pixels wide. My screen resolution is 1440x900.

Inappropriate? It's possible but you have to modify the source code -- in this case it's only HTML -- yourself. I've done it. It takes perhaps 5-10 minutes and some basic computer skills. Note that this isn't something the developers will support and you'll have to do it again if you upgrade Twitkit.
You basically just need to edit a few lines in a HTML-file that is included in the (compressed) .xpi that you download when you want to install Twitkit.
Here's how to do it:
1) Download the twitkit*.xpi file - the add-on file that is used to install Twitkit.
2) Open it with an extraction program such as Winrar. There's an evaluation copy available for Windows. Windows (or whatever OS your using) will probably not recognize the XPI file as an archive, so you'll have to left-click on the file and choose to open it with Winrar.
3) Extract the contents of the file.
4) Browse to the (extracted) folder chrome\content.
5) Open twitkit.html with a text editor (such as Notepad).
NOTE: SEE THE INCLUDED IMAGE FILE FOR STEPS 6 TO 9.
(HTML can't be posted correctly on getsatisfaction)
These instructions can also be found at http://www.mattikolu.com/misc/twitkit... - easier if you want to cut 'n' paste the HTML
9) SAVE the file. You now have a modified twitkit.html. Now you need to add it do the twitkit*.xpi file.
10) Open the twitkit*.xpi file using your extraction program. This time don't extract anything, just browse (within the extraction program) to the folder chrome\content.
11) Drag the *extracted and modified* twitkit.html file to the chrome\content folder that you're viewing. This will replace the original file with the file that you just modified.
12) Your extraction program (Winrar or such) may ask you if you want to 'create an archive' or something like that. Just press OK.
13) You should now have a modified twitkit*.xpi file that contains the twitkit.html with the changed HTML form.
14) In Firefox, uninstall Twitkit.
15) Open the MODIFIED twitkit*.xpi file with Firefox. (If you're using Windows, you might be asked with which program the file should be opened. Choose Firefox) This will allow you to install the slightly adjusted Twitkit.
16) Start tweeting!

NOTE: In the image file that I just uploaded, treat the 'code' tags as quotation marks. That is, ignore them. The instructions are available as a normal text file here: http://www.mattikolu.com/misc/twitkit... (unfortunately, getsatisfaction is not the best place for posting snippets of HTML)
