Twitterberry not uploading to Twitpic!!
When I upload to TwitPic via Twitterberry, the app just hangs. I was able to use this feature fine when i first got it. No changes have been made, I am thinking there may be compatibility issues. I have tried: using EDGE, WIFI, TCP, and sendthing on my Blackberry through email works! hmmm...

Inappropriate?Same problem here, also "send to twitterberry" option doesn't always show up after I take a picture. When it does, I can input a message, but when I try to send to twitter, it just hangs. I'm using a Blackberry Curve 8320 on EDGE, and WIFI.
I’m undecided, but wish Twitterberry had a GS account.
-
Inappropriate?Using Blackberry Bold, I get the "Sending Your Image to TwitPic" message, but nothing gets sent (I am currently connected to an "EDGE" network).
I’m frustrated
-
i get the same thing. it worked fine when i used the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition, but since upgrading to the Bold it just hangs and never posts to TwitPic -
I get the same thing... -
Inappropriate?Same problem here. I open a picture and it sends to Twitterberry easily enough but when I click upload/send it just sits there forever and I end up canceling it.
also, I'm using a Blackberry Pearl.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem! Even tried deleting Twitterberry & then downloading it again. I'm using a BB Curve from Verizon.
I’m frustrated!
-
Inappropriate? When I want to send something to TwitPic I just email the pic as an MMS message to my TwitPic email address. You can find this under Settings after you log into the TwitPic website. The picture will show up on TwitPic and as a Twitter post after a few minutes.
-
This doesn't work for me, as if the email is sent from my Blackberry... the whole legal "heath warning" from my company (which is automatically attached to outgoing messages) would be posted as well. -
I tried that last night and my BB didn't recognize my TwitPic email as a valid email address. It didn't even give the option to "send" the email. -
I don't use the "Messages" function on my Blackberry. I send an MMS message to my Twitpic email address instead. This avoids my work email completely and thus the automatically-added disclaimer. -
How do you send an MMS from a BB? -
Inappropriate?same issues here. using curve 8330 on verizon. app just hangs when i choose "send to twitterberry " for an image.
emailing to "username.pin@twitpic.com" is not as easy but at least it works.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Solution #1: go to twitpic.com and click on settings. That page lists your twitpic email address. Put your message as the subject line. I sucessfully emailed a few pics this way and it does show up on my twitterfeed. However it takes a little bit of time (sometimes a few minutes) to show up on twitpic & twitterfeed.
Solution #2: I was able to email my photo to brightkite in the same way (special email address). It still gets listed in your twitterfeed and it seemed to be a little faster than twitpic. There's a lot of extra options on brightkite too.
I’m happy.

Unless I misunderstood, that kind of defeats the purpose of the convenience of using your blackberry to upload to twitpic. -
Yes, not very convient but it works. -
I doesn't solve my problem, as emails sent from my Blackberry are automatically "loaded" with a long disclaimer from my company :( -
I think it only takes the subject line of the email for twitpic/twitter. I've never seen my email signature show up. Maybe test it out when there isn't a lot of people on twitter (late at night). -
Inappropriate?I think it has something to do with the size of the photo. If I have all of my blackberry camera settings on high, the photo will not upload. But if I set all camera settings to low/medium settings everything uploads fine. I am using a Curve 8310.

Maybe this was a recent change, but I successfully uploaded a 620 KB picture in November, but can't upload a 450 KB picture now. -

BlackBerry 9000 (the Bold)...the app worked fine when i was using a 8830 World Edition, but since upgrading it doesn't work -
Twitterberry v0.8, BBY 8330, Alltel, OS v4.5.0.89. I can post a 36KB file, cannot post 106KB. Symptoms are reproducible -
Inappropriate?Yep I have this problem too - tried all the tips so far email from BB Bold not show in feed 5 mins and counting.
Sigh
-
Whooooooo, just posted!! 8 mins, but it is there!!

See ya there!! -
Inappropriate?I FIXED it! yeah....
Change your settings in twitterberry to TCP vs auto...this worked for me.
I am not on BES, I am on BIS.
P~
I’m happy I figured it out!

this solves the problem

This worked for me! Instantly sent via Twitpic! -
This solution works! -
This worked for me as well - YAY!! Thanks so much! -
Wow, so glad I stumbled upon this forum. I have the BlackBerry Storm and I did as you suggested and changed the setting and magic happened. Thanks, Paul. -
Inappropriate?I do not get the option to send a photo directly from the camera app to twitterberry/twitpic. I have options to send to email/MMS/facebook, but not twitter. What do I need to change to get this to work?
I’m confused.
-
Inappropriate?Changing TwitterBerry "Connection Mode" to TCP didn't work for me (couldn't get a connection) so I changed it to BIBS (when I clicked "Test Connection" it worked). This solved the TwitPic problem and now I can post pics.
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?neither TCP not BIS worked for me.
-
Inappropriate?Hey everyone... I tried the "popular" solution to set TwitterBerry to connect TCP instead of "Auto Detect" and it doesn't work... Also tried BES or BIBS, and although I could test connection successfully with BIBS, the app would still hang when trying to send a picture to TwitterBerry. Anyone have any other idea?
I’m Frustrated, angry, you name it!
-
Inappropriate? So I go to my twitterberry application, go to "configure" and I have the option between "Auto-detect, BES, BIBS, TCP".... none of them work for uploading twitpics. (Although BIBS does get a connection, it still doesnt send)
btw I am using the blackberry bold
Please help!
I’m frustrated and want to twitpic!

Inappropriate?Same problem here
-
Inappropriate?Right, people in the UK can't use TCP as a setting, so... for people in the UK and/or people in the US (if the TCP setting change fails to work).
It all comes down to image size/quality. On my Bold or any other 2-megapixel BlackBerry's the maximum image size/quality that works with Me is Picture Size; Medium (1024 x768) and Picture Quality; Normal.
These settings can be changed by loading the camera and pressing Menu > Options.
These settings may vary on subject type, brightness of images etc but this is the only method that works for Me and trust Me when i say i have tried all of the above.
Any problems or further questions on this method drop me a pin message (2568B259).
Dan Lane.
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? On the STORM, I had to select TCP as the setting in TWITTERBERRY Configure
.
Also...be sure to have your USERNAME in TWITTERBERRY...
NOT the email addy you used to create your TWITTER Account! -
Inappropriate?I have a verizon blackberry curve and i downloaded twitterberry and changed it to TCP but when i go to my images and BB it doesn't show up it just asks if i want to send to email, mms, etc. How do I fix this?
I’m annoyed
-
Inappropriate? As Dan Lane points out, TCP don't work in UK. Reduce the photo settings... Hopefully twitpic will sort it so that settings don't make a difference at some point in the future...
I’m indifferent
-
Inappropriate? This worked for me also Im using the blackberry storm and changing the settings work
Change your settings in twitterberry to TCP vs auto...this worked for me.
I’m Excited
-
Inappropriate?i'm in canada and using the curve 8310...i keep trying to "send to twitterberry" but i keep getting network failed...i've tried everything
-
Inappropriate?i get "unable to open connection: tunnel failed"... i downgraded picture quality & tried multiple different TCP/Auto/BIBE settings as well. help
-
Inappropriate?I am using a t mobile blackberry PEARL. when I take a pic I also have to go into ""view pics"instead of being able to upload it after the pic, and i have yet to be able to even UPLOAD a pic ... it says "connection not avail"or something... whaahh ;(
