Why won't my Twitter avatar/icon carry over to TwitPic?
My Twitter avatar/icon hasn't carried over to TwitPic. How can I update it to replace the bored brown box?

Inappropriate?Try posting a photo from the site itself or from your phone. This will update your avatar for you. Because of twitter API limits we don't update your avatar when twitpic is accessed from our API, in this case when used by twhirl. Let me know if that fixes your issue.
I’m happy

Thanks for the advice Noah, that fixed my problem. And yes, I neglected to say I was using Twhirl to post there. Here's the outcome :) -
This did work. However if you don't want your twitter avatar to change every time a photo is uploaded I would send it from twhirl. This way the description will post on twitter along with a short link to view the photo at twitpic's.
Thank you Noah for solving my avatar question. -
Not working. Any updates? Thanks. -
Sure doesn't work for me, none of the fixes do. Why is this such a hard fix? -
Followed the instructions of posting new photo (posted two, actually) directly to Twitpic but avatar did not change. Does it take a little time for it to change to my Twitter avatar? Very frustrated! -
All righty, then! Logged out then logged in again and it had changed! Thanks, Screaming Slave!! You're the best!! -
Inappropriate?Hi Noah,
I only post directly from the web, but our avatar still has not updated.
Any ideas to fix this?
Thanks!

Inappropriate?nope, that doesn't work for me. it's broken continuously. tried to upload a photo right from twitpic - nothing. what's more, it used to just pull in my twitter avatar. I'd like it to continue doing this if possible.

I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hmm.. I don't remember how long mine took but I just sort of stopped caring cuz I just figured it wouldn't work and one day it was there lol
-
Inappropriate?still not working here either :s
why can't Twitpic just add the feature "change avatar" with a simple http upload?
I’m frustrated
-
your right and their help section and "getting started" doesn't even tell you how to add an avatar. I'm not sure what's all the hype about "Twitter", but as a Newbie, I must say that I'm UNimpressed! If they hope to be around for very long they might want to at least function on such a basic level. I always read posts from people who are so eager to apologize for a site being LAME, such as ZUNE's suckishness. I guess people have been conditioned to be happy about being abused, so they try to defend their abusers. They just come across as pathetic losers without anything substantial to add to the topic worth reading! -
Inappropriate?Frankly I don't think twitpic cares about this problem as it is ongoing and nothing has been done about it.
-
Inappropriate? This is how to do it. Big thanks to Kevin Deleon Photography.
1. Log into TwitPic using your Twitter username and password.
2. Click “Upload Photo” in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
3. Choose an image you would like to upload to TwitPic. It doesn’t matter WHAT picture it is. It doesn’t have to be the image you want for your profile, because TwitPic will pull whatever image you are using on your Twitter profile (which once again in my opinion should be automatic!).
4. After completing all the fields, make sure you DO NOT check the box that reads “Check this if you only want to upload the photo and not post it to your Twitter profile.”
5. Click “Post It”
6. TA-DAAAA...Your TwitPic profile is now using your Twitter profile picture.
You may have to do this each time you change your Twitter profile picture.

Inappropriate? When I changed my twitter picture, at first it did not carry over to twitpic. I had to logout of twitpic, and relog back in , and then the new picture was there.
-
thank you and finally! The logout/login worked. :-) -
Inappropriate?I've offered to help offline, but I figured I may as well post it here too since I use Twitpic.
I wrote an app called http://twivatar.org which gives a permanent url the twitter user's avatar - if Twitpic used that instead of the S3 (or equally pinched the code - it's on github) then it would fix all the Twitter avatar issues that have been flagged up.
Just sayin' :-)
I’m confident

Inappropriate?I found it!!! I changed the avatar!!
I went into settings and there was link that said "picture"
