Verizon customer service is a nightmare! Literally spent HOURS on hold, being transferred to diff depts, getting disconnected from customer service with no call back (they took my number "in case we get disconnected"). I signed my dad up for Verizon internet so we could switch him to Vonage phone and when the phone line was disconnected, neither the phone or internet worked, so I called to disconnect the service within a few days of installation. I still received a bill--- was billed for the wrong service plan, and was billed even tho I was to have 30 free days, and in spite of the fact that I had asked to have the service disconnected the month before. When I called to find out why I was billed, even tho I had disconnected, they would not accept my disconnect confirmation number as valid and even slapped a $79 early termination fee on me! I called to discuss the bill and after waiting on hold a few times and being transferred a few times, I got cut off! I decided to mail documentation along with a partial payment (for installation and shipping of equipment; I felt I owed those fees), so I called to simply get the correct mailing address and got cut off twice!!

I sent the mailings with signature confirmation and noticed they cashed my check the same day they received it. I hope they will leave me alone, now! I’ve had it up to my eyeballs (actually my eyeballs have exploded) with their incompetence (they lost my power of atty papers that I faxed to them, kept transferring me to dept’s that didn’t have anything to do with what I needed, entered the wrong info into the computer, and didn’t call me back when we got disconnected—in addition to the incorrect billing and not disconnecting the service when I requested it). Don’t use Verizon!! It’s customer service is a NIGHTMARE!
