Recently active topics in Twitter tagged with @replies

Any incoming SMS tweet with an "@" symbol in it is blank after the "@". This happens on all U.S. Cellular phones, and I've heard it happens on other carriers as well. This was fixed on Verizon phones recently (see http://getsatisfaction.com/twitter/to...") , but customers of other carriers have been left neglected. I know it takes getting a lot people together to fix this type of issue, but when half your tweets are blank it makes Twitter almost useless.

I've been getting replies from people I don't follow and they don't follow me either.

I use Twitterific and found that the API call to replies.format does in fact include the reply - so I know it's not the app pulling it from the public timeline.

The replies also appear on my 'replies' page on twitter.com - but since we're not following each other, in some cases I can't see the original message they posted (though the text appears fine in the API call).

Does this also open the door to potential spam, for example - this guy: http://twitter.com/waydbot - is pulling names from the public timeline and replying to them. This could easily be used to push unwanted adverts/spam to users - and with apps like Twitterific, it makes for a very invasive form of spamming.

Is this a real bug, and is it something that's planned to be fix?

Not all @replies are showing up for me. Only ones with @Affan are seem to come up but any replies that are started with @affan aren't. The only difference is the capital "A". to trace them i have to use search.twitter.com, which is frustrating and makes the replies tab useless.

ever since the last major update, I have gotten blank or partial tweets if there is the @ symbol in the message. (Before this update, I got ALL my tweets in full) I'm told it's Verizon's issue, but how can that be when I got them before Twitter's updates!??? I want my Tweets..all of them!!!

I am constantly getting @ replies from people @alexalbrecht - I am NOT following alexalbrecht at all. When I send off to alexalbrecht on my moblie, it tells me the name is not recognized even though it clearly is an active account. Please help me! I have deleted and reactivated the moble number multiple times. Same problem. I have saved no@replies in the settings menu and I still get them. I am going crazy. Any thoughts?
