The unusual case of Jmcoon Last reply on June 27, 2008 00:48.
I was notified about an hour ago of a new follower with this message: "Jarret Coon (Jmcoon) is now following your updates on Twitter." As is the case whenever I get such notices, I clicked to check Jarret's profile and evaluate whether he was relevant to my life.
When I arrived at Jmcoon's profile, I was greeted with an unusual bio ("Jarret is a 14 year old technologist and financial guru...") and a bizarre following-follower ratio of about 29:5600. A spammer seeking connection with recent twitterers would have the inverse ratio, with many more people he is following than those who are following him. Even more peculiar, the links to show the 29 accounts Jmcoon is following shows no one.
I'm pretty certain I am not following Jmcoon, and I can't see a reason why 5000+ people would be following this person. If something isn't fishy here, more power to Jarret the 14-year-old tech guru. If something is fishy, how did it happen? -

How can we report impostor (fake) accounts to be removed? Last reply on June 03, 2008 21:29.
How can we report fake accounts to be removed? @HenryRollins and @StephenColbert are fake accounts.
ComedyCentral.com has addressed the Stephen Colbert one already yet it is still live and even though it isn't updating anymore it's still annoying that nothing is done about it.
I just emailed the email address on HenryRollins.com and received a message stating that it was fake. "Henry is not on Twitter. Thanks"
So how can we report these to get these impostors removed?

What is Twitter's stance toward abuse? Last reply on May 23, 2008 01:25.
What is Twitter's stance toward abuse? That is, when does Twitter take action to remove or freeze accounts and why?

Member Abuse on Twitter Last reply on May 21, 2008 19:09.
I wish to lodge a member complaint against Twitter member @amandachapel for his constant cyberbullying and other trollish behavior on Twitter, most recently towards fellow member @lizstrauss. His ad hominem attacks go well over the line of honest criticism or banter and consitute a level of abuse that violates any standards by which an online platform for community discourse judges itself. I ask Biz Stone and other fair-minded decision-makers at Twitter to asess this situation at their earliest opportunity. Thanks. -

"Report Spam" links need to be placed on user pages Last reply on April 28, 2008 17:03.
I think its time for "report spam" to be added to user pages. Twitter is great that you pick who you want to follow but you can't pick who starts following you. It's great that I can block users that I want to but these people that are sending massive follows to various people for the purpose of spamming should be stoppd. The easiest way to do this would be when I click on the URL in the email I got from twitter there should be a "report spam" link on that user's page (well, on all user's pages). This would allow twitter to create algorythms to automatically suspend accounts. For instance, if a new user immediately gets 20 spam reports in a single day, they're suspended pending review whereas 1 spam report in a week could just be accidental and shouldn't be a cause for concern.
I personally think this isn't just a feature request but its almost urgent so that we (as a twitter community) can stop or at least slow this problem down before it becomes too big. -

Is @panopticons abusing the Terms of Service Last reply on May 21, 2008 00:40.
It seems @panopticons is retweeting peoples comments via a bot. This ordinarily would not be a problem but it screws with Tweetscan and other tools

weird user?
a guy juancarzola, seems to be doing something weird. He's following like 59,000 users on twitter and the website listed for his account shows a message that the services for his account have been discontinued - looks like message is from host.
