So I have my own Twitter account and have made over 35 "updates" (posts, tweets--whatever you wish to call them).
Unfortunately, unlike everyone else who has a Twitter page, I can't see all of my updates--I only see those on the front page. The "older" link is greyed out for me and I can't click it (there is no link).
How can I make it so that myself and others can view all of my updates and freely browse my history instead of seeing only the first page?
My company offers a foreign language Word of the Day service. One of the ways we offer it is through Twitter. Each day we post a new foreign word to our Twitter account (through TwitterFeed). However, the numerous non-English, accented characters contained in these words don't show up properly when people receive the Tweets on their cell phones. Rather, the special characters are removed or replaced with the letter "i" or something like that.
My question is, does SMS not support accented characters? And if it does, how can we encode our data properly? Are we just plain out of luck if we're in the US?
Apologies if this has already been answered; I couldn't find it directly addressed anywhere in this forum...
You need to use some sort of word wrapping to fix this. PHP has a word_wrap function (and one I emulated: http://twitter.uvshock.co.uk/tag/make...) - I'm sure you can do this in Rails.
In my Twitter account something is going wrong. The tweets from the people I follow and myself are overlapping the sidebar. It makes it difficult to read the tweets and I've temporarily given up on twitter.
Why are all the updates going across the page over the right hand navigation bar on the home page? I am not able to click on any of the links because the messages become active. I am on a Mac so wondering if this is a browser issue.
Using IE 7 on Win XP and all of a sudden I can't see the search box for finding new folks. I can see it on my MacBook, but not desktop machine at work.
The text is not formatted right on the home page. Each update is not staying inside the box - it stretches along one line all the way to the right. It is even going over the status box on the right and disabling it.
My profile and URL info and place used to appear in the top right of my homepage - it suddently disappeared about 2 weeks ago - other profiles still display - can you tell me where it's gone! and how do I get it back - I need that info about my blog on there.
