My last Twitter update to Facebook was September 11th 2007...
Is there some part of the Facebook API that makes it impossible to keep updating them if my statuses are private? Or is this a ploy to get everyone to open up?
Does this mean that other apps doing similar things are also insecure and leaking my private information? e.g. I use the Dopplr app on Facebook too.
Does using the Facebook app for Twitter count towards my 70/hour limit? Twitterific gives me an error that I've tried to update too often even when I have set it to check every 10 minutes. Just this app alone shouldn't reach the 70 requests per hour limit so I'm wondering what else may cause this to happen.
What is the difference between Twitter and facebook?
Actually I got a task from my university about this question.
I need your opinion?
Thanks for your help
Why is Twitter for Facebook frakked? It's profoundly frustrating.
At first I used the third party Twittersync for awhile, which was great, but then Twitter turned off TwitterIM for some reason, which broke it.
So then I switched to the official Twitter for Facebook app, which doesn't work either, and just shows me a bunch of "undefined method `-' for nil:NilClass" error crap on its application page.
I am NOT using twitter to update my facebook status; however, I would expect that having the default twitter facebook app installed (and allowing the app permission to update my news and minifeed) would result in the app publishing my twitter updates to my news and mini-feeds.
I am thus reporting this as a bug, although perhaps it is just a feature limitation?
I just installed twitter as a facebook app and noticed I can now see the full names for those that I am following. Is there a way to turn this off so those that follow me cannot see my full name from facebook?
I am having a problem that many people seem to be having with their API limit being exceeded. I just tried to open up Twhirl for the first time in 3 days and it says "limit exceeded, paused 5 minutes." I know I have facebook and FriendFeed accessing it, but just two services I would hope wouldn't be overloading my API. I am not sure if I signed up on any other services. I would really prefer not to change my password if at all possible.
I just think it would be nice to see what services are pinging my API and even disable them from inside twitter if need be.
Can you add a RSS feature to Twitter? The thing is, despite my efforts, all my friends are on facebook but none use Twitter. Using a Twitter Facebook app, my Tweets appear as my status message, but a good way to encourage them to try Twitter would be if I could get my friends statuses RSS feed via Twitter and then respond to that via Twitter or a Twitter client like Twitterpod.
the twitter app box on my facebook profile page is showing an old account of mine that doesn't exist anymore - how can i update that? the twitter account info is correct, however.
A while ago I installed the Facebook Twitter app. I then removed it. Then I changed my username on Twitter. Today I re-installed the Facebook app. When I go to the Facebook Twitter page, I see a current list of tweets, correct pic, correct username. However, on my Facebook profile, the tweet is old, the picture is old, and if you click on it, you get an error because it's still my old username. After I saw that, I tried removing the app and re-installing it again. No go.
I do not use the option of Twitter updating my Facebook status. The only problem is the tweet on my Facebook profile.
A friend of mine sends her tweets out as facebook status updates, and I don't want to block her altogether, but I hate getting her twitters. Is there any way to block these or block just her status updates without "unfriending" her?
My facebook twitter app keeps showing me a page called "RFacebook Environment Information". How do I make it stop??? It's keeping me from updating my status on twitter through facebook.
