Recently active topics in Twitter tagged with gmail

I have attempted to search my gmail contacts for other twitter users in both firefox and IE. From two different IP addresses. Several times this week. No go. Is this feature currently broken? I've been logged in to gchat and usually with gmail open at the time. Do I need to close out of these? (I haven't had that problem elsewhere..). Thanks

i deleted my account and now i want to restore it. everytime i click restore it just says that this method requires a POST.

Joined Twitter a week ago and, despite many tries, still haven't been able to import my Gmail contacts. Originally, it was saying that I didn't have any contacts to import (not true) and, for the past 3 days, I get a white page saying "requires a POST". This is the URL of that white page:

I notice lots of people have been having this problem on and off for a few months now, keep getting told it's fixed and yet the problem still keeps cropping up.

When I tried to invite contacts by importing them from my Gmail account (jason.thuli@gmail.com), I get an error.

The error is nothing but a white screen that says "This method requires a POST". My password has a semi-colon (;) in it, so I don't know if that's throwing things off during the request.

Anyway, thought I'd bring that to your attention.

Oh, I'm using Firefox v.2.0.0.6 on Windows XP Pro.

I'm trying to see who out of my email contacts is on twitter, but I get a page that says "this method requires a POST"... what is a post?? And how do I do it??

I'm still having the above problem 9 times out of 10. Also the 1 time that it does work, I get the "Add People to Twitter" prompt (thank god...or so I thought). Apparently Twitter thinks I have 0 people in my address book on GMail that are not on Twitter. I find this hard to believe because I have over 200 people in my address book, and I'm sure not everyone has Twitter. Please advise.

I just added twitter as an IM friend on Google Talk, by clicking 'add contact', then pasting in twitter@twitter.com, then inviting to gtalk.

The add worked just fine -- and quickly -- and was very impressive.

However, I believe that (at least for the procedure I followed for the add) Gmail emits a "<me> wants to chat" email. This email bounced. Here's a bowdlerized version, which will probably have disastrous formatting; if a tech support person with an @twitter.com email would like a copy of the original I'll send it along.

gmail chat twittering stopped working....

what to do?

I have been trying to get Twitter to work on Adium (1.2.1 on Leopard) for the past 3 hours.

First of all, I've tried to add twitter@twitter.com to my contact list both from Adium and from gmail.
Second, I've tried sending messages both from Adium and from Gmail chat.
Third, I've tried adding my gmail addresses both as Gtalk and as Jabber.
And fourth, I've tried to contact the bloody twitter bot from both official @gmail.com address and from a Google Apps-powered domain.

No matter what I try, the result (or the lack if it) is the same: twitter@twitter.com is ALWAYS offline (in Adium, in Gtalk and in web-based Gtalk) and does not respond to ANY message I send - whether the activation message or help. Nada.

What to do?
