Get rid of the rel="me no follow" in the URL area on your twitter profile link. Its like saying I don't trust myself in HTML and I think it sends the wrong message to google. Make it rel="me" that would be the right way to use the me statement and Good netiquette for microformats.
My question is in regards to css customization of the html/javascript badges. If all that shows in my source code is the javascript, how am I supposed to style it with css? Is there a list somewhere of the style's used, or a way to view the html the the javascript is outputting?
we're trying to tweak twitter for our church. we don't use the main account for much but we'd like to be able to display what members/friends are doing on our blog and possibly website.
i've used the "flash badge with friends" but don't really like the look and layout for the blog. i'd like to use the HTML version but also include the messages friends send. is there a way to customize the HTML badge to include messages from friends?
So I've added the badge to my myspace page, but I cannot figure out how to show more than the latest twit in the badge. I tried using Jon's code that is linked in the FAQ, but alas, Myspace will not allow javascript. Is there a html or css workthrough that will accomplish the same task?
More a commnt than a question, but the twitter plain HTML widget does not Validate as XHTML Strict if you just copy and paste as is. The easiest fix is just put an empty
'li open' and 'li close' in between the 'ul id="twitter_update_list' and 'ul close' and the validator is happy, it won't mess up ur site with an empty li either as the twitter javascript just replaces everything in there anyways
It seems that the HTML/Javascript badge is causing errors. I get an error on line 1 char 2 object expected. This bug shows up on my personal blog http://www.challgren.com and the Twitter badge generator.
I tried to put a badge within an individual blog post (http://tinyurl.com/3lpfdb), using my company's blog application and it doesn't seem to be working.
I entered the HTML code for white as my row one and row two colors. Although the sample widget itself looks correct, the boxes which show the color you've chosen are black, and the final product on my blog also has the black color. How can I fix this/
I'd totally love to see some more options for styling my twitter page. I'm not saying being able to ditch the twitter logo but perhaps having more control over the css styles than we already have? I for one feel almost limited in my creativity with the options twitter gives me.
Thoughts? Shall we discuss a little more or is this in the pipe line already? I'd be totally stoked if this was on the product map somewhere.
I'm using a twitter badge on my site (HTML/javascript) and I would like for users to be able to click on the links I put into my tweet. It would be cool if the twitter javascript would detect URLs and make them into hyperlinks when it creates the output for my web page.
Is it possible to make twitter a screen reader accessible inclusion in a web site? Is it already in an accessible format?
I'm trying to make my site as accessible as possible.
