Your Facebook app inserts "is twittering" before the status when syncing with FB status.
Please cut it out, because I'm sick of hearing ppl whining about it.
Thx
Populating the Facebook status field with the most recent Twitter post is awkward, because Facebook automatically adds "is" to the beginning of the status. I propose that it would be better to prepend " twittering:" to any status update coming from Twitter. This would make the phrasing less awkward, eliminating status updates like "John Doe is I'm really tired today." It would also let people know that the update came from Twitter.
Does the twitter app have to say, "is twittering" at the front of my status? I feel like my actual status gets lost after the whole "is twittering" thing... Let me know where the setting are to turn it off.
Without telling anyone, Facebook took the "is" out of their status updates. Which not only breaks people's individual status updates if they're not paying attention, but also breaks any app feeding strings into the status update feature...including the official Twitter app. Now updates from the Twitter app will read, "Joe twittering: blah blah blah..."
Can you please update the Twitter app on Facebook so that it no longer prepends "twittering:" to status updates? Perhaps you could even implement a setting that allows you to customize your prepend. To maintain brand presence, you could offer some presets:
