Twitter won't let me follow anyone for past several days - this seems to be an issue/glitch for more than just myself. Is the new anti-spam rule glitching?? I have a 1-to-1 ratio of followers/following and have for pretty much always. I've read about the new anti-spam measures, but can't believe that trying to follow 1 person in 5 days violates it. There are over 50 people who have added me that I can't add back. That's rude.
My name is Maarten Scherpenisse and I would like to use my name as my nickname (maartenscherpenisse) but because there is a character limit on nickname's I got 'maartenscherpen'. Is it possible to use my whole name as nickname? (by the way, why is there a character limit?)
I am only twittering via the web site, have any and all software that utilize twitter shut off and yet I constantly have a negative rate limit. What is the deal? And before asked, yes, I changed my password to see if it would make a difference and it didn't.
I am having a problem that many people seem to be having with their API limit being exceeded. I just tried to open up Twhirl for the first time in 3 days and it says "limit exceeded, paused 5 minutes." I know I have facebook and FriendFeed accessing it, but just two services I would hope wouldn't be overloading my API. I am not sure if I signed up on any other services. I would really prefer not to change my password if at all possible.
I just think it would be nice to see what services are pinging my API and even disable them from inside twitter if need be.
Is it possible to have the current rate limit displayed somewhere on the http://status.twitter.com blog? It's not always clear what the current number of req is allowed and I don't know what to according set my 3rd party app.
Hebrew letters apparently count twice (each letter counts as two). Probably due to the way UTF-8 encoding works.
After submission I often get a message saying my update was too long. The counter is correct though. A 71-letter tweet returned an error msg.

Testers: some Hebrew to play around with: ם ס ו
(that's in case you want to try testing the problem but can't type in Hebrew; letters should come out as a square, a circle and a line if you use the right encoding)
I'm setting up a profile field for Twitter on my forum and it has options for minimum length and maximum length. I've searched and can't find any information about the limits of Twitter username length. It's not important, but I'd like to know.
Don't include "@username" or system commands into the 140 character limit. It gets frustrating when you can't put your whole message through because the @username is too long!
i just noticed an interesting bug. (safari 3.0.4 osx10.5.1) upon typing a full 160 characters, i realized i needed to cursor back and delete a few superfluous words. however, the left arrow key wasn't working (i assume the javascript disables all keystrokes except backspace perhaps). anyways, it'd be nice to have the arrow keys enabled too.
