Please bring back the "with followers" option so we can snoop around the ambients inside each twitter page!!! Twitter isnot the same since u took that off !! U can replace the everyone option since it isnot so as interesting as the "with friends" option on the main twitter page!!
So, I am curious exactly what happens after you register your cellphone with Twitter (assuming you have already registered online, have an account, and want to get your cellphone into the fun). I know you can send private messages and track things (as soon as Tracking is back up), but my question is that what happens *right* after you get registered with Twitter...with 1000-ish messages coming into Twitter's public timeline per second, I can't image these are going to start hammering my phone -- am I defaulted to the Public Timeline right away (before I start tracking people, things, etc. on a more specific basis) and if so, how often do I get the public timeline messages? Thanks in advance! I just can't seem to get my head around what will happen after I have registered my phone but before I track people, keywords, etc. Thanks in advance!
I've invited a friend to twitter, who hooked up her phone. I've been sending her direct messages from web interface and it works great; gets delivered to her phone in a matter of seconds. We are in Croatia, Europe; the mobile provider is Tele2.
But now she tried to reply to one of the direct messages. She wrote "d Mislav hi ...", where "..." was the rest of her message. Obviously she thought that she must write "hi". Also, my username is "mislav", not "Mislav" (maybe this is relevant).
The problem: I received that message only *4 days after*. To make things weirder, it didn't come in the form of direct message, but appeared in my friends' timeline. It seems the direct message was posted to her public timeline.
She's using TwitterSync for Facebook. I've never had problems with that app, it justs reposts public tweets to Facebook status.
Most of the time the public timeline is filled with twitters that aren't in languages I can understand. I was wondering if there was a way I could filter them - even filtering by character would be a massive help.
I can't see any of the people I follow (and they follow me) twitters (with everyone els) anymore. I can see their twits of course but still I get curious what are they getting from everyone els...
When I switch my mobile device setting to "on" I get updated from the public timeline instead of just from my friends. How do I limit updates to just my friends?
