Recently active topics in Twitter tagged with server error

What's with the 500 Internal Server Errors? Random site weirdness depending on pages accessed. Twitter.com sometimes yields this error.

I can't register (verify) my number with twitter. I tried this previously and successfully did it but suddenly stopped receiving updates on my cellphone. I tried deleting the number and now i get weird responses from the twitter server. I'm from India so i message the codes to 5566511. Till yesterday i got a bad request error and today im getting a remote request timed out error messaged to be on my cellphone.
