What is Twitter's stance toward abuse? Last reply on May 16, 2008 22:11.

What is Twitter's stance toward abuse? That is, when does Twitter take action to remove or freeze accounts and why?

Block users in TRACK, may be used for SPAMING Last reply on May 09, 2008 12:52.

I love TRACK. Now I'm TRACKING "CES", also "MACWORLD" but some SPAM appears. May be a Blocking or Filtering app will work fine.

How about daily and weekly versions of New Follower email? Last reply on May 01, 2008 21:11.

Not having the New Follower email for the past couple of days made me think about how often I need to know about new followers. I decided that getting an email alert seconds after someone starts to follow me is overkill and becomes a distraction, especially when the new follower is a spammer, which is about 50% of the time for me.

How about adding a consolidated version of that email with two options: weekly and monthly. Most discussion forums include this type of "digest'" option and I think it would work perfectly here.

Add Followers/Following metrics and Follow/Block buttons to New Follower e-mail Last reply on May 12, 2008 21:27.

Like many other people, I'm seeing an increase in new followers who are following hundreds or thousands of people in a short amount of time in an attempt to get people to follow them back. When I navigate to the new follower's page, it's pretty clear that the person is a "Spitter" (Spam + Twitter = Spitter) by just looking at their Followers / Following numbers - e.g. Following 5,082 but only 43 Followers. I am going through this exercise about five times a day and it's really starting to take the joy out of Twitter.

Please consider changing the New Follower e-mail notification so that the the Followers / Following metrics are included in the e-mail. Even better, can you add the Follow and Block buttons into the e-mail? This doesn't solve the spam problem but it would go a long ways towards minimizing the impact. Thanks!

A lot of spam today - how do I get the accounts blocked? Last reply on May 12, 2008 13:32.

Here are a list of spam accounts that have sent the same message to me 5 times today - all exactly the same and I pick it up because of my interest in mobile learning.

How do I get these people kicked off - they are really ruining the experience - when they do this my screen fills up with the same message - thus it is very effective spam!

How would you prefer to report Twitter spam? Last reply on May 11, 2008 04:56.

How would you, as a member of the Twitter community, like to flag potential spammers? Right now you can block a spammer or report them via email. We're working on spam handling presently, and I'd like to know what the simple, unobtrusive solution looks like from your point of view. A "report spam" button on profiles, áa Gmail?
