Unanswered topics in Twitter tagged with spam

Using the form at http://help.twitter.com/index.php?pg=... to report a spammer (following the link from the FAQ page), every time I submit it it just refreshes the page. If the form is actually submitting, there's no indication of it that I can tell.

(Also, that form isn't very well-suited to reporting spammers in the first place.)

Spammers are using the 'Full Name' to place a direct link to their web site in the New Follower email. Normally, the only links that are available in the New Follower email are the link to the user's Twitter profile page and the link to the Notifications settings page.

For example, porn spammer myzine.com (nsfw) is using this technique by setting their Full Name to "myzine.com". Most web-based email clients - e.g. Gmail - interpret any text with a .com attached to it as a URL. Normally the Full Name is just plain text - John Smith. A screenshot of this is available here: http://urltea.com/341u . Notice the hyperlinks on myzine.com.

I'm proposing that you change the Account Settings page to disallow web site extensions in the Full Name - .com, .org, .net, etc. Or just disallow the period altogether.

Clicked on the public timeline this AM and everyone else's twitter updates were completely obliterated from list by yep_that_url. He is splittering the same url nonstop. So obnoxious.

@eCOST sucks. They're spammers. I had to run firebug to change up their css to be able to click on the "block" button.

I think they should be removed from twitter.
