The email I received specifically stated that complaints were made regarding links I had sent. I certainly do not send a large volume of links and what few links I do send are in no way spamy. So now my updates don't go to the public timeline and I'm still wondering why.
It really sucks that you guys don't communicate with your users when you suspend their accounts. You should at least send a warning or something. Seriously, your lack of professionalism is appalling. I hope something is done to improve communication in the future.
Our account for @fakeron (a satirical character based on our not-so-beloved mayor) is saying that it was suspended due to TOS violations, but we received no communication from Twitter indicating any alleged violations. Satire is clearly fair use, and I know there are other @fake"x" accounts currently active on Twitter.
I logged a support request last week but never got a response, so I'm making a public report here.
