Tweet timestamps are off by hours Last reply on June 28, 2008 21:00.
The JSON data that is used for including Twitter data on a website is sending incorrect time information. For a tweet that I made just now, at 1:49 PM EST (-0400) the data is:
"created_at":"Fri Jun 27 12:49:03 +0000 2008"
This is plainly wrong. If it's UTC then I'd expect it to be 5:49 PM.
It should be noted that this incorrect time is *also displayed on the website* leading me to believe there are some funky math problems going on in a more central location. -

Why are the timestamps in Twitter RSS feeds listed in GMT? Last reply on June 14, 2008 03:25.
Preface: my computer's timezone, and my Twitter account's timezone, are both set to GMT-5 (Eastern Standard Time). I just posted a tweet.
* On twitter.com, this tweet shows up with the correct timestamp - 8:59am.
* On my twitter RSS feed, however, the timestamp for this same exact tweet is 1:59pm (to be more exact, Fri, 30 Nov 2007 13:59:31 +0000).
Despite my timezone setting being correct, my Twitter RSS feed seems to have time stamps in GMT+0 -which is inconvenient, since I pull my twitter RSS feed into a blog and my tweets sit on top of all my actual posts for quite a while due to these incorrect timestamps.

Why do I receive SMS tweets after the 'off' time for notifications? Last reply on May 23, 2008 01:49.
I have Twitter notifications turned off between 11PM and 7AM. However, I still get some tweets between 11PM and 12 or 1AM (not quite sure what the limit is). Is this possibly a time zone issue? Yes - I do have my time zone set correctly on the settings page. -

Wrong time displayed on text messages from Twitter Last reply on May 13, 2008 20:44.
Why is the wrong time displayed on my text messages from Twitter? Every text I receive from the Twitter number has a timestamp of an hour later than the actual time it is received. I even tried changing my time zone to CST instead of EST in hopes of 'tricking' it to send the correct time, but it still doesn't work right. This also causes new texts from other sources to display somewhere way down in my Inbox since the newest texts appear on top and it assumes the others are at least an hour old.
