Recently active topics in Twitter tagged with xml

I had trouble with Twitter, because it is not valid xhtml despite its own doctype declaration. Use w3c validator at http://validator.w3.org/ which brought back 32 errors, most just simple mistakes. The service would be fantastic to build apps on using xml tools if this was corrected. Thanks.

I'm in the process of setting up a new twitter bot for a music festival that's going to harvest twitter messages to the twitter bot and posts them to our festival web page. I haven't been able to access the RSS feed for my twitter account in the past couple of days and I'm not entirely sure what to do. I'm just getting the "whale error" page.

twitter returning odd xml back from user_timeline call (can duplicate by typing http://user:password@twitter.com/user_timeline.xml into FF).

If you look at my feed (mriffey), you will *not* see the inreplyto for eddale in tweet id 788997472 (it was in an earlier tweet). The other tweet included here has the same issue. However, snitter is displaying the tweets properly, as is twitter.com.

Anyone got an explanation for this?
