[Ideas] Additional Reply Settings
I've got a few ideas for how the reply options can be optimized:
Per User Options.
Right now, you have one option, for everyone you follow: @replies just to you, all @replies to people you're following, and all @replies. While this is a nice feature, it'd be better if there were also per user settings. For example, let's say I'm interested in all @replies from everyone I'm following except @user1. Maybe they respond to every single tweet, even if its just for "thanks," and I don't really care about all of those. They reply with content I'm not interested in. I'd be amazing if there were options on a per-user basis for how replies should be handled.
No @replies to Protected Updates That I Don't Have Access To.
Let's say @user1 replies to @user2, and @user2 is a protected user that I do not have access to (I don't have permissions to access his/her tweets). That's just frustrating - I can't see what @user1 is responding to, which therefore makes that tweet from @user1 completely irrelevant to me - meaning I don't have a point to seeing it. I'd love to see an option in the reply settings to be able to block out replies to protected users that I lack access to.
Just thought I'd throw those two thoughts out there.

Inappropriate?I would love per-user setings. For a few people, want to see everything they say. For most, just replies to people I "know". And, as Chris points out, for some people I don;t ever want to see @replies!

Inappropriate?I'd just like my replies to be put on my submitted tweets page. Some of them are quite interesting but only I can see them right now.

Your replies DO appear on your submitted tweets page. They just don't appear in the feeds that others use to browse what all of their followees are saying, unless they are following both you and the person to whom you're replying. People can click through and see your tweet timeline, with all replies intact.
