@Replies should pull all tweets containg @myname, not just those that begin with @myname

Does the @Replies function only pull replies that BEGIN with @name? Shouldn't it pull all tweets that contain the @name anywhere within the post? My friends will post "Blah blah blah @myname blah blah" and those tweets don't show up on my @Replies page. It's a creative and fun way to use that function!
