"Twitter" or "Sputter"?
Soon after I joined Twitter I felt like I had joined Sputter. It's on, it's off, It's there, it's not. Most of the time my blog has a blank badge. I know other people with the same problem who just gave up and deleted the whole darn thing. Twitter's performance for me has at best been inconsistent.

Inappropriate?Sue, Twitter at it's best is amazing and revolutionary, just ask Mark Pesce - http://www.viddler.com/explore/nickho...
Having said that Twitter was not originally designed for what it is being used for and with massive growth in popularity, Biz Stone and his team are working all hours to maintain and develop the database, they are also more open about the challenges they face than any company I have seen before.
BTW, thanks to Twitter I have been able to participate with people live at the scene of the news. That has not been possible before Twitter and means I give and receive news faster than CNN and BBC can deliver it.
Stick with it, it will be well worth it, if not now, then certainly in the future.
