A url that someone never uses and I would like to have it
I would like a url that someone hasn't used in months, is that possible? A user hasn't been on in four or so months and that user has the user tag that I wish I had. Is there any way of getting?

Inappropriate?Hi Chris,
We generally have a 9 month rule; if a profile has been inactive for more than 9 months, we can release the user name. At or around the 9 month mark let us know http://twitter.com/help/ and we can free the username for you. -
Mark, may I ask -- do you contact the owner of the user name before releasing it? I have friends who follow me via sms (meaning they never signed up via the web and they never update their own accounts). But they use Twitter to keep up with my updates. So lack of activity on a user's profile doesn't automatically indicate lack of interest on the part of the user. -
Mdy, yes we always contact the owner of the username before releasing it, giving them 72 hours to respond. -
Great, thanks Mark! 8-) -
Inappropriate? How would you tell if they haven't used it for 9 months? For example, this guy marked his stuff private, so how will I know?

Inappropriate?I sent in a request for an account July 18, 2008 6:44:07 PM EDT (via e-mail) and July 19, 2008 4:20:06 AM EDT (via the website). Twitter hasn't contacted me back in any way about this, and I want to get to work using the account as soon as possible. Argh

Inappropriate? This guy's url has been inactive since September 13th of last year (2008). I am hoping I can get his URL. he has only one tweet
