While this might be doable on the web or via a client, how does one do this via SMS or IM in less than 140 characters?
*thinking out loud*
maybe like Flickr's email photo upload? one can put "tags: travel, idea" But wouldn't this really waste the previous 140 characters we have?

Inappropriate?Why send the tags over SMS? Maybe I don't know Twitter well enough, but can't the user specify the tags they are interested in on their profile for any given following, and then the service delivers the tweet over SMS without the tags?
