API Limit Exceeded in Twhirl, Twitterific, etc.
Help!
I love Twitter and use it all the time, but I seem to have gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. Something is connecting to Twitter as me and using up all my API connections so that I'm not actually able to connect from any of the clients I regularly use (Twhirl, Twitterific). I can connect fine through the web at twitter.com or on hahlo.com from my iPhone.
There doesn't seem to be any way that I could find to get a list of which apps are authenticating as me and/or to block them. I'm not really sure how to resolve this since I can't figure out what's causing the problem. Hope you can help! I want my Twitter action back.

Inappropriate?Please see this related thread.
Other people also have the same problem. It's not yet solved, unfortunately. -
Inappropriate?Although not a complete solution, have you considered changing your Twitter password?
I’m undecided.

Inappropriate?I'm also waiting for the fix here. I was going to change my password but it appears that this doesn't fix the issue.
I’m slightly frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Actually, changing my password did work. just a note, I think it was Hahlo that was hitting my API hard. We do need something that shows us what is logging in as us.. That would be great.
I’m thankful

Changing my password seemed to fix it once, but after the last time I changed it I didn't give anything my password except Twitter.com and Twhirl, and I'm still locked out. -
Inappropriate? We have recently lowered the API request limit to 30 per hour as noted on status.twitter.com.
For clients like Twitterrific, this means you should reconfigure so that it does not refresh more than once every 2 minutes.
If you are using more than one client, you should make sure than in total they do not exceed 30 requests per hour.
