Can Twitterbot be turned off until IM functionality is fully restored?
Can twitterbot be set to NOT send updates until the service is fully restored? It's frustrating to receive tweets via IM but be unable to respond using the same method.
I would just ask that I receive no messages from Twitterbot until the service is ready to go. I would disable device updates for IM, but I'd like to know when it's working again.

Inappropriate?Oh, that's too bad! I'm actually thrilled to be receiving im updates again, even though I can't reply via im. I'm only allowed to receive 250 sms per week (non-US user) so I'm heavily dependent on im for my incoming tweets.
I wonder -- does setting your device updates on your home page sidebar to 'phone' or 'web only' stop IM from coming in?
If yes, then you won't need to remove your IM from http://twitter.com/devices; that way you'll still see the "We're working to restore IM services to all users. Thanks for your patience!" notice on the sidebar for as long as IM is not yet fully operational.
