Cannot Get Onto Twitter Without Getting A Download.
Hi. When I try to sign on, I get a download window that tells me that I have to receive a JSON file from "punkybird", who is affiliated with twitter.com. I cannot chose to NOT get this download, and usually just have to restart Twitter, or even restart my browser. WTF?

This should now be fixed. It was a weird interaction with badges on other people's sites.

Inappropriate?Just chiming in to say that I also experienced this strange behavior around 20 minutes ago, but it was a different person's JSON feed (parislemon) that I was getting prompted to download.
Like Othar, I got the prompt right after I logged in with my user ID and password on the twitter.com site. I canceled the download when prompted, then entered the URL to http://twitter.com/home by hand into the browser, then hit Enter. Was able to get to my home page successfully.
When I logged out then logged back in again, I was able to get to the home page without getting a prompt to download the JSON file. -
Inappropriate? We've seen other people report this. Can you let us know the browser and OS you're using.
Additionally, if you are using Firefox 2 and have the Firebug add-on installed, it would be very helpful to see what Firebug reports when you try to login. Specifically, whatever the headers are for the POST request on the login submit. -
Inappropriate?Oh yes. WinXP SP2 Firefox 2.0.0.14
I've been trying to recreate the behavior to see what might have contributed to it, but I've so far been unsuccessful.
I forgot to mention that I *did* come from @parislemon's website before I experienced the bug, but I don't know if that's related.
Will look for Firebug (I don't have that installed right now). -
