Can't follow someone on Twitter
I went to someone's profile page and tried to follow them. I was unable to, and I got an error page repeatedly. I can follow other people, but I can't seem to follow this particular person.

The number of followers showing on the link in the profile page is, indeed, incorrect. If you notice someone with 65,535 followers, you know they are affected by this bug.
You will also notice a discrepancy on the /friends page, where followers numbers and followers shown are not the same. These are all symptoms of the same bug. Thanks for being patient, we should have a fix very soon. I'll keep you posted as we have more information.

Hey Guys,
We made some changes that have helped matters; followers numbers should be repaired, and updates should now show in timelines of all followers. The profiles owners are now able to post; Veronica was able to post successfully:

Twitter incorrectly reports 65,535 follower for those few you mentioned, including me, but when I SMS "stats" to Twitter I get 7092 (as of 2/27/08). 65,535 is binary 11111111 so it's obviously an error condition unrelated to an actual number of followers.
My true follower count is not going up as fast as it should, however, which leads me to believe some are having trouble following me. (Four folks have successfully added me in the last 24 hours, apparently.)
Furthermore, I can't follow anyone myself. Follow fails with a "something went wrong" error no matter whom I try to follow.
Oh, and did I mention that my updates are only visible on my page and seemingly nowhere else? Twitter is very very broken right now.

Inappropriate?Your stats are wrong, I know for a fact that Leo has about 7,000 followers (even though you list it wrong on his profile page as well). I don't have any problems adding any of your names, the only one I have a problem trying to follow is hotdogsladies

Inappropriate?I just realized, everyone who I am having trouble trying to follow has the EXACT same stats for people following them. (65,535)
None of these people really have this many "followers".

Inappropriate?I've tried following a few people today and yesterday. They show up when I click on my "Following" list, but their little pictures aren't showing up under "Following" on my homepage. And most importantly, I'm not seeng their updates! I tried to sign out and sign back in, hoping they would just magically appear but they didn't. And then I tried that like 10 more times!!! Still nothing. This defeats the whole purpose of following someone!

Inappropriate?Grr!! Trying to follow someone (@aussietechhead to be precise) but it returns an error saying "Something went wrong. Please refresh the page & try again!"
I'm over it, and I really want to follow this person.
If it helps, I have previously been following this person but they seemed to disappear & now I can't re-follow them. I'm annoyed!

i can see her tweets on my page.
i clicked the "follow" button on her page and it changed to "following"
but after checking the list of people i follow, she doesn't appear!
i tried to refresh her page and the button changed back to "follow" and i didn't even unfollow her. i don't even apper on her followers list. HELP!
