can't sign up. "password must be confirmed" error message

Well, if anyone else is having this problem, I just discovered a work-around. They won't let you post without an account, so post something and it will tell you to create an account. This screen comes complete with a second password field available for confirmation.

EDIT: What you sign up for here is actually the twitter help service called "get satisfaction". NOT TWITTER. Fool me once...

ok, well, apparently the work around does work... just post to this thread and options to create an account are provided... and they work. Main signup still needs fixing though

I just signed up using http://m.twitter.com - and was able to log in on the main site. Hope this is just a fluke - not a ssign of things to come... ;-)

hey guys, use the mobile page for signup as a workaround:
http://m.twitter.com then click the signup link, there are 2 password fields on that page. I just signed up successfully through there, then went back to the regular pages.

Id like to sign up and cant... this really sucks that twitter isnt doing anything to fix it or at least saying yes there is an issue and we're working on it. guess they have the same customer "care" as dell?

Confirming that signing up through Twitter Mobile (http://m.twitter.com) works. However, I had some trouble signing in to the regular Twitter site at first. Fixed that by signing in at Twitter Mobile, then visiting twitter.com/USERNAME, where that last bit is the name I signed up under. I was automatically signed in on the main site when I visited it. I changed my password under my settings, and was then able to successfully sign in and out from the main page.

So, yeah, that's what works for now, but Twitter had better get the main page sign-up fixed soon.

I am still having the problem of logging in on some of the sections of the site. I can log in to the main page, but not to the pics place.
