Can't turn on SMS updates for people I follow.
I can't figure out how to receive people's updates... I've been at it for an hour now. Help me?
I can send Twitter my updates and they post to the site, but I'm not receiving any updates to my phone. On the profiles of the people I am following, it says "*green check* Following *red dash* Device updates OFF." On these peoples profile and on my friend's page, there is no way for me to turn the Device Updates ON.
On my homepage, Device Updates are set to phone.
I've tried deleting and re-adding my number... Several times.
I've sent "ON" to Twitter and they confirmed that they're on.
And for what it is worth, I have T-Mobile Sidekick 3 in the US and I had a Twitter account last year that worked fine with the same phone.

Inappropriate?What you need to do is go to your home page and click the "following" button under your icon (on the right - don't click "followers"). From there you can turn device updates on and off for certain people.1 Comment

Inappropriate?Try this - when viewing the person's profile, click the "- Device updates OFF" link. The red dash should change to a green check. On your "Following" page there should be 2 radio buttons after the person's name "Device Updates ( ) On ( ) Off" this should do the same thing. -
Inappropriate?Thanks for the suggestion, but the problem I'm having is that the radio buttons have completely disappeared - hence, I'm not able to toggle anything.

Inappropriate?I ended up solving my problem by manually following everyone from my mobile device.
Every time I want to get someone's updates sent to my phone, I manually send a text to Twitter that says "follow username" and that worked. That's the only way I've managed to solve my problem in a month on Twitter.

Inappropriate?I have same issue, and share the same frustration. It keeps saying there is a problem and to refresh the page; even with doing that (multiple times) it still does not let me get device updates from people I follow. Likewise I do not get the radio buttons....will try adding people from my mobile....

Inappropriate?I can see all the buttons, when I click them it says that the updates are on but it does not work. When I go back the buttons still say off. I am not sure if this is the same problem but it is very annoying and I have not had any luck fixing it.
