can't verify my sprint phone
I've tried verifying my phone over and over, but nothing works. I checked the FAQ and I don't think those frequent problems are affecting me. Could it be a Sprint problem with the short code?

Hi!
I looked up your user name, and it looks like your phone created a renegade account of its own.
This happens for various reasons, usually related to a problem with the phone number; for example, the country code is missing, or one of the numbers is wrong in in the settings page.
As a result, Twitter can't link the verification code sent from your (correct) phone number to the incorrect or partial number saved in your settings page. Instead, we think you're trying to start a new account from your phone, and ask for a username. You then enter your existing username not realizing that, and it creates an account with "username1" instead.
I removed the extra account, so just re-add your phone number in your settings page, and send the new verification code to 40404. If you have any more problems with it, send us an email with your phone number, and we can help you set it up.

there is somthing wird about my phone it still working but but you cant do anything like somone disconected my acount or deleated it -
I get the error Note: We currently don't support sending SMS notifications to this number. Sprint says they took the block off of the short code but I still can't get it to work!

My problem was that Sprint had blocked all short codes on my account. We complained about a spam text message my wife received, so they blocked any messages originating from a short code. You might call and see if your account has any text message blocks applied to it.

Inappropriate?I have this same problem. I use NTelos. I tried sending the Help to Twitter and that did not go through either. So I tried sending the question to Google using Google's short number and that went through. Could you please help me,Crystal! -

Inappropriate?Ughn. I'm having the same problem. I add a mobile, try to verify and when I send tweets, nothing. I even get text messaging saying "you haven't updated in 24 hours, reply to this text to update now!" Nothing ever posts. I've tried over and over the last couple months to get it working thinking I was doing something wrong. But alas. I'd like to get this fixed by SXSW at least!

Inappropriate?Ok, I got my problem fixed. I called my provider and asked them if short codes were blocked on my phone. The customer service rep stated that all short codes were being blocked. I asked her to remove the blocks. She did. I went back in to Twitter and registered my phone again.
And what do you know? I am sending messages from my mobile now...yippie!

Inappropriate?Same problem, on a Sprint phone, user name rlsrox, I've been resetting and resending codes all day long, the phone says the message is sent, but I get no reply or anything from Twitter. Any other ideas? Spoke to Sprint who assured me that short codes were NOT blocked on my line.

Inappropriate?I texted the first verification code and I got nothing. Tried it again, this time I turned off auto-caps, and it worked. It might be a case-sensitive verification code, or not. Either way it works!

Inappropriate?I am having the same problem from what I can tell. I am using a phone from Nex-Tech Wireless which is an affiliate of Sprint. I will get with their support on Monday to see if it is the short code issue that those have had above.

Inappropriate?It appears that Sprint blocks some US short numbers by default, including Twitter's 40404 SMS text message number.
However, not all Sprint representatives are aware of this!
In another thread, various Sprint customers persuaded Sprint to unblock 40404.
In that rather long thread, this post might be the quickest route to a solution. -
Inappropriate?I had asked Sprint to block SMS services that charge a fee. To accomplish my request, Sprint blocked all short numbers from my account. Once I explained the situation and the previous request, the representative sent me to TECH SUPPORT, and they quickly resolved the issue.
