Companies mail servers blocking twitter email notifications
The email adress used by twitter for notification is blocked by the mail servers of many companies. I had a conversation with the mail server administrator of my company and he explained me that the using of "@postmaster.[domain_name]" sub-domain was supposed to be used only for technical reports not for "functionnal" notifications.
Then, the twitter email notifications are considered as spam and filtered.
I hope this report will help provide a better service :-)

Inappropriate?Your administrator is mistaken. In all of our extensive email testing, yours is the first report of mail being blocked because it came from a postmaster subdomain.
postmaster@domain-name... is for administrative reports, as specified in RFC2821.
See:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postmaster_(computing)
and
http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2821.html
Twitter uses xxxx@postmaster.twitter.com for bounce handling. If your mail server is blocking mail because the word 'postmaster' appears somewhere in the From: address domain, it is misconfigured. -
Thanks for your reply. I will show it to my admin !
Regards,
Guillaume
