Direct messages in my timeline
When someone sends me a Direct Message they show up in my timeline as "[sender] the message" as if I have posted this. What happened? How do I fix this? My twittername is frankmeeuwsen

Inappropriate?Hello,
Have you signed up for any third party Twitter clients or services? They may rebroadcast your direct messages to your timeline.
Best,
Jack.

this solves the problem

Inappropriate?Hi Jack, thanks for your reply. I had thought of that but all I can think of signing up to is twitterfeed.com. My replies should arrive by mail in my Gmail account and that's not being used anywhere else for republishing. Is there any way you can "see" what's happening when someone DM's? Ofcourse after the downtime of today :-)

Inappropriate? If a third-party client or service is indeed echoing direct messages sent to you, then it will need to know your Twitter password to gain access to your direct messages.
If that's the case, then perhaps changing your Twitter password will help... at least until you figure out what's going on.
It seems unlikely that Twitterfeed is responsible for this because those messages would read "from Twitterfeed" if that were the case. -
Inappropriate?I would like to have this problem. Did you ever figure out what caused it?
I’m excited

Inappropriate?I have the same problem. Changing the password stops it. But I would like to know which 3rd party app is causing the problem.
I’m confused
